The Commander of the Police Special Tactical Squad, Victor Ogbeide Godfrey, has revealed that the leader of the notorious one-chance syndicate, Solomon Haruna Abot, publicly boasted that he was untouchable before he was eventually arrested.

Speaking from 3:40 during a police parade reported by NTA News, Commander Godfrey said. “He publicly boasted that nobody can arrest him. He said that anybody that can arrest him must have been a dead person which means nobody can arrest him. But we told him that the only person we cannot arrest is only God. So, after much operations, he was picked like a rat, because nobody can do this to Nigerians and where we are as police, we will allow that to continue,” he said.

He also revealed that tracking down the suspect was no straightforward task, as Abot and his gang constantly switched vehicles and changed their places of residence in an attempt to evade capture. He highlighted that the operation eventually ended with their arrest at a military estate in Abuja.
