Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Information and Strategy has taken to his official X account on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 to react after man said some photos of children sleeping in the bush are fake.
In the video that surfaced online, the man said people should verify information before spreading it. He made the statement after teachers and students were kidnapped in a school in Ogbomoso, Oyo state.
Here is what he said;
“Nigerians, let us be careful with spreading fake information. 90% of all the pictures of people being kidnapped are fake news. Many of the celebrities posting the pictures have been paid by the opposition.
“The incident in which some children were sleeping in the bush didn’t happen in Nigeria. And many celebrities have been posting them just to cause unrest”.
Reacting, Bayo Onanuga stated that people should verify information before spreading.
