Seyi Makinde, the presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), has reacted to reports that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu plans to travel to Saudi Arabia to pray for Nigeria, saying prayers can also be answered within the country.

In a video from 19:23 shared by Channels Television, Makinde said he had seen reports circulating on social media about Tinubu’s reported plan to travel abroad to pray for the nation.

The APM candidate said he and other Nigerians would remain in the country to pray for Nigeria and its leaders, stressing that travelling to Saudi Arabia was not necessary for prayers to be answered.

Makinde also called on Tinubu and other All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders to be honest with Nigerians about the country’s situation. He further promised that, if elected president, he would create conditions that would allow businesses to grow and thrive.

Reacting to the reports about Tinubu’s planned trip, Makinde said, “I was reading on social media yesterday night up until this morning that our president is traveling to Saudi Arabia to pray for Nigeria. Prayers are answered even in this country, please we will stay here, we will pray for Nigeria and we will also pray for our leaders”
