Inibehe Effiong, a renowned human rights activist and legal practitioner has taken to his official X handle to voice his displeasure over the actions of Akwa Ibom State governor, Umo Eno. According to the statements which were shared on his official X, he pointed out that the governor’s kind gesture was a far cry from his ostentatious lifestyle.
The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno was recently on the spotlight after he distributed several bags of rice to women across the state as part of his campaign rally.
The youths, not left out, were given the sum of fifty thousands naira (N50,000) only, by the governor, a gesture which triggered massive reactions from different quarters.
Inibehe Effiong, a renowned human rights activist and legal practitioner in a recent statement which was shared on his official X handle, slammed the antics of the governor.
According to his statements, he pointed out that the governor gave bags of rice to women, fifty thousands naira to youths, while he (governor Umo Eno) went about wearing expensive shoes costing millions of naira.
