Pastor Peter Oluwafemi Samuel has recounted how he spent three months in Boko Haram captivity after being kidnapped while travelling to Northern Nigeria.

In a video from 29:55 shared by FeelRightNews on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, the pastor said his captors took him deep into the bush to their camp, where he continued praying and hoping for God’s intervention.

Samuel said an unexpected incident occurred when one of the militants fell ill and failed to recover. He asked the captor if he wanted him to pray for him, and the man agreed.

According to the pastor, the militant recovered after he prayed for him, prompting the group to begin treating him better and offering him food.

However, Samuel said he rejected the food, explaining that his priority was to regain his freedom rather than receive provisions from his captors.

Recounting his experience, he said, “I was kidnapped by Boko Haram and spent three months with them. They took me while I was traveling to the North. We trekked deep into the bush until we reached their camp, and all the while I prayed that God would show His mighty hand.

Then something unexpected happened, one of them fell sick and wasn’t getting better. I asked him, “Should I pray for you?” He said yes. So I prayed for him, and he recovered.

After that, they began to take care of me and gave me food. But I told them, “I don’t need your food, what I need is for you to release me.”
