Former Presidential spokesperson, Lauretta Onochie, has asserted strong control of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) amid the party’s ongoing leadership crisis. In a post on her verified Facebook page on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, Onochie declared that the ADC remains firmly in charge across the country.
Onochie’s statement comes at a time of intense factional battles within the ADC, following the resignation of Peter Obi, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to the ND. and disputes over the party’s authentic leadership structure. Her questions is directed at the political movement associated with Peter Obi and the circumstances surrounding his previous and current political engagements.
She wrote: “WE ARE ADC…. There are questions Nigerians should be asking today: 1. Who funded Obi in 2023? 2. Who is funding him now? 3. Who really owns NDC? 4.
