Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser on Policy Communication to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, criticized the leadership capacity of Peter Obi over internal disagreements within his political movement
In a video from 6:56 posted on Symfoni on Friday, May 8, 2026, Bwala argued that effective leadership requires the ability to manage people, resolve conflicts, and maintain unity within political structures.
He referenced reported tensions between Aisha Yesufu and Ireti Kingibe, who are said to be interested in the same senatorial position in the Federal Capital Territory under the National Democratic Coalition (NDC).
Bwala maintained that leadership should be measured not only by popularity but also by the ability to handle internal disputes and sustain party cohesion.
According to him, “No leader leads a state, a local government, or a country who does not manage people. In fact, his case has even become worsened by the fact that two ladies in this political movement have a misunderstanding. He couldn’t even manage them. You can’t manage the two people that have problems in your party. You can’t manage the labor party. They come and resolve the matter. You can’t manage primaries.
