Family members of 39-year-old Dickson Christian had been living in torment since December 20, 2025, clinging to fading hope after he vanished without a trace while on his way to deliver items to his boss in the Ajah area of Lagos. What started as a routine work assignment had, according to his sister, Victory, turned into months of anguish, relentless searching, and emotional exhaustion.
In an interview with The PUNCH, Victory opened up about the family’s unending quest for answers and closure, explaining that his sudden disappearance had left them devastated and desperate for any information that could lead to his whereabouts or bring them peace.
When Victory was asked to share a memory that reflected the bond she shared with her brother, she said, “There are so many memories, but one in particular has stayed with me over the years because it reflects the depth of his care.
“I was told that when my mother was about to give birth to me, my brother, who is 11 years older, was playing football. The moment he heard the news, he immediately ran to be there. In the process, he injured his ankle quite badly.
“That story has always meant so much to me because it shows that even before I was born, he was already present, already protective, already caring.”
She explained that as she grew older, the connection between her and her brother only deepened. She described her brother, Christian, as one of the very few people she could talk to about anything, including matters she could not even share with their parents, noting that he understood her in a way that was difficult to express.
She added that shortly before his disappearance, he was involved in an accident but chose not to inform other family members, confiding only in her, which, according to her, reflected the level of trust and closeness they shared. She emphasized that they were not just siblings but were deeply connected.
She further stated that the situation had been extremely painful, as it went beyond the absence of a person, making it feel as though a part of her life and support system had suddenly been taken away. Read_More…
