According to a report by Daily Post on Monday, April 27, 2026, Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, has cautioned newly appointed Mogajis and Baales against engaging in the unlawful seizure of wives or landed properties, emphasizing the need for discipline and adherence to traditional and moral standards.

The monarch delivered this warning during a formal ceremony held to install new traditional title holders within Ibadanland, where he stressed the importance of maintaining integrity in their roles.

The installation ceremony took place at the Olubadan’s palace located at Oke Aremo in the Ibadan North Local Government Area.

The event marked another significant exercise in the traditional leadership structure of Ibadanland, as individuals selected for these roles were officially recognized and entrusted with responsibilities within their respective communities.

The gathering attracted members of the Olubadan-in-Council, alongside political office holders, traditional chiefs, and other notable figures.

A total of 15 Mogajis and seven Baales were installed during the ceremony, these individuals are expected to serve as intermediaries between the Olubadan and the people at the grassroots level, ensuring that customs are upheld and that peace and order are maintained across various compounds and villages.

Among those installed were Chief Tolulope Akinkunmi Afolabi, who assumed the position of Mogaji of the Agunbiade compound in the Alaadorin Ode Aje area, Chief Sijuola Rasaq Ajibola, named Mogaji of the Looyin compound in Oke Offa Atipe area, and Chief Wasiu Lawal, who became Mogaji of the Obebe Odugunwa compound in the Oke Oluokun area.

Their appointments reflect the structured process through which leadership roles are filled within Ibadan’s traditional system.
