Residents of the Effurun community in Delta State have decried the extrajudicial murder of Mene Ogidi, a twenty-eight-year-old musician in the area.
Recently, Nigerians have taken to the online space to call for justice after a police officer was captured releasing gunshots on a detained suspect.
However, in the video from 6:08 posted by News Central TV, Mother to the deceased, Mene Ogidi, revealed that this is not the first time her family has been victimized by police officers.
She revealed that in the past, her second son was lying peacefully at his residence when a police officer broke in and arrested him and took him to Asaba, and before 8 am, he was pronounced dead in police custody.
According to the video, “It did not start today; one night, his brother plugged in his phone and was lying down. Suddenly police came and knocked; he wanted to call his mummy, but they refused and took him to Asaba. Before 8 am, they said he was dead.”…Read_More…
