Chidi Odinkalu, a renowned human rights activist and former chairman of the national human rights commission has taken to his official X handle to make a remarkable comment regarding professor Joash Amupitan. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that the only people supporting the INEC chairman were APC members.
The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC Professor Joash Amupitan was recently on the spotlight after he was described as a staunch supporter of the APC.
It can be recalled that the INEC chairman had been called out to answer questions regarding his affiliations with the ruling party following the emergence of a viral tweet.
Chidi Odinkalu, a renowned human rights activist and former chairman of the national human rights commission in a recent statement which was shared on his official X handle, made a striking comment regarding the challenges faced by INEC chairmen.
According to his statements, he pointed out that the people reposed huge amount of trust on previous chairmen of the commission, however, the case became different with professor Joash Amupitan.
He further pointed out that the only people who can speak up for the current INEC chairman was the APC, as the people were not convinced with his qualifications.
