The Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has warned that the All Progressives Congress, APC, risks losing Rivers State in the 2027 general elections if it sidelines the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
Ayodele made the assertion while speaking from 4:08 on the political situation in Rivers State, stressing that Wike remains the most influential political figure in the state despite his current role in the Federal Government.
According to the cleric, the APC would be making a costly political mistake if it hands over the leadership of the party in Rivers State to anyone other than Wike.
Speaking during the address, Ayodele said: “In River State if they give any leadership to anybody APC will lose without Wike.”
The prophet maintained that Wike possesses the political structure, grassroots support and electoral influence needed to keep the APC competitive in Rivers State.
He argued that no other politician currently has the capacity to unite the party’s supporters in the state or deliver victory at the polls the way the former Rivers governor can.
Ayodele said the APC leadership should carefully manage its internal affairs in Rivers ahead of the 2027 elections, warning that any attempt to undermine Wike’s position could weaken the party’s chances against the opposition.
According to him, Rivers State remains one of the most politically strategic states in Nigeria, and the outcome of the next election there could significantly influence the national political landscape.
The cleric further noted that political ambition and internal rivalry should not be allowed to overshadow the realities on the ground, insisting that Wike continues to command substantial loyalty among political stakeholders and voters in the state.
Ayodele has consistently made predictions and comments on Nigeria’s political developments, particularly ahead of major elections.
While many of his prophecies have attracted public attention, some have also generated mixed reactions from politicians and analysts.
