Ninety-year-old retired nurse, Mrs Victoria Ojo, has shared the story of how she met her husband, Mr Ojo, and the decision that led to their marriage.
In an interview with PUNCH on Sunday, July 19, 2026, Ojo said she had made up her mind early in life to marry the first man who approached her, provided he was a person of good character and from a respectable background.
She explained that a family friend, Mr Adefioye, who was a printer, introduced Mr Ojo to her father, describing him as a gentleman with good values who was ready for marriage.
Ojo said after her parents interacted with Mr Ojo and sought her opinion, she took time to observe his character before accepting his proposal, as she believed he was a suitable life partner.
