Bayo Onanuga, the senior special adviser on Information and Strategy to President Tinubu has faulted the capability of the former governor of Anambra State and erstwhile Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
According to a post shared on his official X account on Wednesday September 17th, 2026 he pointed out that the former governor cannot fix Nigeria.
His comments came amid the heated arguments that trailed the credibility and efficiency of the 2027 NDC presidential candidate, with many arguing that his performance while serving as Anambra State governor was abysmal.
Bayo Onanuga, widely admired for his outspokenness, maintained that Peter Obi who spent almost a decade as Anambra State governor failed to achieve significant results. He cited reports of the debt left behind by him (Peter Obi) to back his claims.
He concluded by making a powerful statement challenging the efficiency of the former governor. According to him, If a small state like Anambra could not be transformed despite billions of dollars invested, then Peter Obi cannot fix the whole country.
