Dele Momodu, publisher of Ovation Magazine and a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has disclosed that he advised former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, to remain patient amid his exit from the African Democratic Congress, ADC.
Momodu made the revelation during an interview from 9:16 on the MORAYO AFOLABI BROWN SHOW on Friday, May 15, 2026.
In the interview, Momodu stated that he has held several direct conversations with Obi and shares a close relationship with the former Anambra State governor. He noted that Obi is the only presidential aspirant who has visited him at his residences in London, Ghana, and Nigeria.
The media entrepreneur stated that during their discussions, he encouraged Obi not to make hasty political decisions, emphasizing that patience often yields greater rewards in politics. He also said he provided Obi with several examples to support his advice.
