Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has dismissed suggestions of a personal dispute between him and his predecessor, Nasir El-Rufai, insisting that he has never spoken ill of the former governor and has no intention of doing so.
Sani made the remarks in a video shared by Daily Trust on its official X account on October 27, 2026, following El-Rufai’s detention by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
Addressing the issue, the Kaduna governor said he had no problem with El-Rufai and urged people to consider his past comments rather than assume he had spoken negatively about his predecessor.
Reaffirming his position, Sani said, “Honestly speaking, I have no problem with him. If you listen to me carefully, I have never said anything bad about El-Rufai and I will never speak anything bad about him”.
