The spokesperson for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Kenneth Okonkwo, has called on the United States government and the FBI to make public any investigation records they have concerning President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking from 16:29 on Channels TV, Okonkwo said, “The United States have an investigation report that they did, they should release the information. There is something that we call freedom of information. Even in Nigeria, it is a criminal offence for you not to release any matter of public concern. The court is a public place. Investigation is a public thing,” he said.
Okonkwo also refuted the claims that the demand amounts to foreign interference in Nigeria’s electoral process,.
He argued that what the ADC are raising is a straightforward pre-election matter which borders on whether the president meets the legal requirements to contest for the 2027 presidential election.
