Abdullahi Dalla, a victim of terrorist and bandit attacks and a resident of Kankiya Local Government Area of Katsina State, has recounted his harrowing experience in the hands of armed criminals, revealing that he spent 18 months in captivity after being abducted.

Speaking during an interview from 2:30 on News Central TV, on Friday, 10 July, 2026, Dalla narrated the suffering he endured while being held by his captors. He said the lengthy period in captivity was marked by fear, uncertainty, and emotional pain, adding that his family eventually secured his freedom after raising money for his release.

Recounting the tragedy, Dalla said, “They took me away for 18 months, my brother was killed in front of me. I was eventually released as a result of my relatives’ help in paying for my freedom.”
