Kola Alapinni, the international human rights lawyer, has drawn attention to the case of Mr. Michael, who was killed during the Oyo abduction incident, questioning the lack of focus on his family and the circumstances surrounding his death.

He noted that the death of Mr. Michael and other victims raised important questions about support for affected families, adding that authorities and society must consider the needs of those left behind after tragic security incidents.
