Muryamu Musa, a resident of Kankiya Local Government Area of Katsina State, has recounted the heartbreaking circumstances surrounding the death of her husband during an attack on their community.

Speaking during an interview from 1:20 on News Central TV, on Friday, 10 July, 2026, Muryamu narrated how fear spread through the community as residents realized armed attackers were approaching.

According to her, her husband had gone out before the violence erupted, unaware that he would encounter the attackers on his way back home.

Recalling the tragic incident, she said, “My husband stepped out but unknown to me, I did not know that will be my last time seeing him. And when he was on his way back. We heard people in the bush shouting ‘they are coming’ and before he could be added, he was attacked.”

Muryamu’s testimony is one of several accounts shared by victims of insecurity in parts of northern Nigeria, where residents continue to live under the constant threat of attacks by armed groups.
