Chukwunonso Okolie, an indigene of Ihitenansa community in Imo State, has stated that his brother was kidnapped by bandits in 2023.
Speaking in an interview from 8:24 with News Central TV, Okolie said his brother was killed 5 days after his abduction. He stated that he found out one of the people who kidnapped his brother was a man from his village known as Odumodu.
Okolie said he got Odumodu’s phone number and called him to ask why his brother had been kidnapped and killed. Okolie said Odumodu told him that it was because his brother was working with the government to help capture him.
Okolie said he pleaded with Odumodu to release his brother’s body for a proper burial but Odumodu refused and instead threatened to kill him
