Bayo Onanuga, the senior special adviser on Information and Strategy to President Tinubu has taken to his official X handle to react after the police confirmed the safe rescue of the abducted woman and her twin sons.
According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that the woman and her children were rescued during a coordinated operation by the FID department.
It can be recalled that the abduction of the woman identified as Mrs Olaide Busayo Adegoke and her children in Ibadan on June 3rd, 2026 had triggered massive public reactions, with many calling for urgent actions to ensure their swift release.
However, following intelligence report, the police swung into action, rescuing the woman and her two twelve-year-old sons identified as Peter and Paul.
During the operation, according to Bayo Onanuga, two of the abductors were fatally wounded while the woman ans her children were rescued unharmed.
