Josinta Ayuba, the daughter of abducted Government Day Secondary School (GDSS) LASAA teacher, Angelina, has appealed for help and expressed deep anguish over her mother’s disappearance following an attack in Lassa, saying the family has been left in fear and uncertainty.
Speaking during an interview from 0:26 on News Central TV, on Friday, 3 July, 2026, Josinta recounted the last time she saw her mother before the incident, explaining that Angelina had left home as usual for work but never returned after the reported attack.
Describing the family’s ordeal, she said, “My mom left in the morning and she said she is going to work and we stayed alone waiting for her but we did not see her. They said that they attacked them in Lassa. Since 3 days now, she is not even at home. We don’t know where she is.”
The emotional account highlights the distress faced by families of victims caught in violent attacks, particularly those involving educators and other public servants carrying out their daily responsibilities.
According to Josinta, the family has spent the past three days without any information about Angelina’s whereabouts, leaving them anxious and hoping for positive news. She said they continue to wait for her return while praying for her safety.
The incident has drawn renewed attention to security concerns in communities affected by recurring attacks, with residents urging authorities to intensify efforts to rescue those abducted and improve protection for commuters and workers.
