According to a report by the Nigerian Tribune on Sunday, May 31, 2026, The leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has condemned Bola Tinubu over the recent kidnapping of schoolchildren and their principals in Oyo State, stating that the Federal Government has failed in its duty to protect citizens.

Ayodele also faulted Seyi Makinde, criticising his response to the crisis and questioning his decision to attend a political rally while the state grappled with the security breach.

He described the situation as deeply troubling and accused both leaders of not showing enough urgency.

“The government is missing it every day, and even the governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, hasn’t handled this well. Despite all of these, he still went for a rally declaring his ambition. The blood of the innocent is crying,” he stated.

The cleric stressed that the current administration has not taken sufficient steps to curb the worsening insecurity across the country.

According to him, the continued abductions and attacks reflect a broader failure in leadership and strategy, which could have serious political consequences if not urgently addressed.

Ayodele warned that public frustration is mounting and that the government risks losing credibility if decisive measures are not implemented quickly.

He added that the lives of the abducted children must be treated as a top priority.

“Tinubu has failed woefully in terms of security. Nigeria is in pain, and if these children die, Tinubu should forget about a second term because this is how it started during Jonathan,” Ayodele said….Read_More…
