Christian Joe, a kidnap victim, has stated that he was abducted by bandits in Edo State while travelling to Owerri, Imo State
In an interview from 19:00 with The Podcast Network, Joe said the bandits who kidnapped him demanded to know what he could offer in exchange for his freedom.
Joe stated that he told the bandits he had only 200,000 naira with him and could also withdraw an additional 300,000 naira to give them. He said they laughed after hearing his offer and asked him if he thought they were joking with him.
In Joe’s words: “They asked me what can I bring to free myself. I told them I didn’t have much but I had 200 thousand naira with me and I could find a way to withdraw 300 thousand naira from my account and give them all to let me go.
