According to a report by Daily Post on May 31, 2026, Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has expressed confidence that the country will overcome its security challenges, stressing that insurgent groups cannot undermine the nation’s strength and unity.
She made the remarks on Saturday while receiving members of the Ekiti State Traditional Rulers’ Council at the Government House in Ado-Ekiti. During the meeting, the First Lady highlighted the resilience of Nigerians and urged citizens to remain optimistic despite ongoing security concerns in different parts of the country.
Oluremi Tinubu said the federal government remains committed to restoring peace and stability nationwide. She noted that President Bola Tinubu continues to prioritise efforts aimed at addressing insecurity and ensuring the safety of citizens across the country.
The First Lady stated that the administration is working diligently to confront security threats and create conditions that will promote lasting peace. She expressed confidence that ongoing measures by the government would yield positive results in the near future.
She also acknowledged the support Nigeria has received from international partners in its fight against insurgency and other security challenges. According to her, cooperation from foreign allies has contributed to ongoing efforts to strengthen security operations and improve stability.
Encouraging Nigerians not to lose hope, she called for continued faith and prayers for the country as authorities intensify efforts to tackle insecurity.
