Ayodele said the two political camps are approaching the election with strong expectations, arguing that an unfavourable outcome could be difficult for either side to accept.
“If Tinubu loses this election, there will be crisis. If Atiku loses this election, there will also be crisis because Tinubu does not believe that he will lose. I am telling Nigerians as it is as God reveals,” Primate Ayodele said.
His comments come as political activities ahead of the 2027 presidential election continue to intensify. Tinubu is expected to seek another term, while Atiku remains one of the opposition figures seeking to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress.
Opposition politicians and parties have also been exploring possible cooperation ahead of the election, amid concerns over the impact of a divided opposition vote.
The 2023 presidential election was contested by Tinubu, Atiku and Peter Obi on separate political platforms. Tinubu recorded the highest number of votes, followed by Atiku and Obi.
