According to a report by Symfoni TV from 0:12, activist Omoyele Sowore has raised fresh concerns over the mysterious disappearance of five engineers in Ebonyi State. He alleged that attempts to provide closure failed after DNA tests showed that exhumed remains did not belong to the missing men.

Sowore linked the 2021 incident to the tenure of current Minister of Works, David Umahi, who was the Governor of Ebonyi State when the engineers went missing.

The victims Nelson Onyemeh, Ernest Edeani, Ikechukwu Ejiofor, Samuel Aneke, and Stanley Nwazulum were staff of NELAN Consulting Engineers. They reportedly disappeared in November 2021 while supervising the African Development Bank-funded Abakaliki Ring Road project.

Sowore claimed that when pressure mounted on the state government to explain what happened, remains were presented but later found not to match the victims.

“Five engineers disappeared under his watch, and they have not been found. When they pressured him, he provided remains, bones of people they claim were these engineers, and when they did the DNA test, they found out that they were not the people who died,” Sowore stated. Read_More…
