Nurudeen Abdulganiyu, also known as Ganiyu, has reportedly told investigators that he uses human parts to prepare concoctions, claiming that someone gave the materials to him four years ago with a promise that he would become rich.
Abdulganiyu’s statement was disclosed during an interview from 2:13 with Trust TV on Sunday, August 30, 2026, in which the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of Oyo State, Olayinka Ayanlade, discussed the circumstances surrounding his arrest.
According to Ayanlade, Abdulganiyu was arrested after he was allegedly found in possession of bones suspected to be a human skull. During interrogation, he reportedly explained how he came to possess the suspected human remains.
“We use human parts to prepare concoctions. Someone gave it to me 4 years ago and told me if I use it, I will become rich,” Abdulganiyu said.
The statement has raised questions about the circumstances surrounding the possession of the suspected human remains and the identity of the person who allegedly gave them to Abdulganiyu.
Police investigators are expected to establish whether the bones recovered from Abdulganiyu are human remains and determine how they came into his possession.
Authorities are also expected to investigate the claim that the suspected human parts were intended for the preparation of concoctions and establish whether other individuals were involved.
