As tensions between the United States and Iran continue following weeks of military confrontation and diplomatic standoffs, U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday declared that Washington is winning big in Iran, suggesting that the outcome of his administration’s efforts would become apparent soon.
Trump made the remarks during a nationally televised address to the American people on election security, as reported by Fox News from 4:15 on Friday, July 17, the president briefly highlighted what he described as major foreign policy successes in both Venezuela and Iran.
“We won in Venezuela, which is now working with us to produce millions and millions of barrels of oil,” Trump said. “We are likewise winning big in Iran, and you will see the fruits of that labor very, very shortly.”

However, his comments come amid an ongoing confrontation between Washington and Tehran that has included military strikes, heightened tensions in the Strait of Hormuz, sanctions, and continued negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program and regional security.
Trump offered no further details on the expected developments but indicated that the results of the administration’s efforts in Iran would become evident very, very shortly.
Trump’s comments came as he praised his administration’s national security and defense policies, arguing that the United States has strengthened its global position. He also asserted that the country possesses the world’s most powerful military, attributing its strength to investments made during his presidency….See More
