Popular Catholic priest and social commentator, Fr Kelvin Ugwu, has sparked conversations online after sharing his thoughts on the political moves ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
In a post shared on social media, Fr Ugwu praised Peter Obi for securing his place in the 2027 race and also commended his reported efforts to align politically with Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso.
According to him, the next responsibility now lies with Nigerian voters.
“Obi has done his part by ensuring he is in the ballot for 2027. He also went the extra mile in ensuring he gets Kwankwaso to his side. It is now up to Nigerians to do their part by voting and also going the extra mile in ensuring the votes count by ALL MEANS necessary,” he wrote.
The statement quickly generated reactions online, with supporters of Obi hailing the message as a call for political participation and voter vigilance ahead of the next general election.
