During an interview from 21:03 on Channels Television, Abayomi Rotimi, a presidential aspirant of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), spoke about the need for broader political collaboration ahead of 2027 election.
He argued that building alliances across different political interests is essential, noting that forming a coalition could strengthen efforts to challenge established structures within Nigeria’s political space, while specifically calling on Omoyele Sowore to align with his efforts within the ADC.
Rotimi explained that collaboration, particularly with figures like Omoyele Sowore, could provide a pathway to achieving political change, stressing that unity within a coalition remains a strategic option for opposition figures.
According to him, “I don’t trust them but we don’t have a choice but to be part of the process. Will I want to be president outside a political party? And that’s why I’m using this opportunity to speak to my big brother Omoyele Sowore. He should try to see reason with what I’m also doing and join us. He should come and join us.
