APC chieftain Abdulmumin Jibrin has accused certain northern politicians of running a deliberate propaganda campaign against President Bola Tinubu in the core North.
Speaking from 11:41 on Channels TV, Jibrin said, “Some politicians are spreading the propaganda that the president does not like the North, that the president has not been fair to northerners in appointments, and that the president has not taken projects to the North. And these are the kinds of propaganda they are spreading down to the grassroots. But if we base our conversation on facts, you discover that all the issues that they have raised are false. They are lies that have just been concocted to paint the president black.”
He went further to outline the decades-long record of Tinubu actively supporting northern interests, pointing to his eight years as Lagos governor during which he worked to build a national coalition that he ultimately handed to the North in 2015.
He noted that the same pattern repeated itself in 2007 and 2011, when Tinubu built political platforms and handed them to northern candidates each time.
