APC chieftain Abdulmumin Jibrin has alleged that President Bola Tinubu inherited a backlog of road projects left unfinished after eight years of the Buhari administration, and has since continued every one of them while adding new infrastructure of his own.

Speaking from 20:14 on Channels TV, Jibrin said, “When the president came, he inherited projects, let me just take road infrastructure. All the projects that for eight years were being executed by the Buhari administration were not completed in eight years. The president has done two-plus years. Tell me one of those projects that is not being continued.”

Jibrin listed the ongoing road projects across the North to back his claim, citing the Abuja-Kaduna-Kano highway, the Kano-Maiduguri road, the Abuja-Keffi-Lafia route, Zaria-Gusau, and the Kano-Katsina road as active ongoing works.

He added that Tinubu did not stop at continuing inherited projects but went further by launching the Sokoto-Badagry Super Highway, a major new infrastructure initiative that Jibrin said many Nigerians, particularly at the grassroots level, are completely unaware of.
