In a recent video from 43:58 shared on Facebook on Sunday, April 12, 2026, Niger Delta activist and traditional ruler, Asari Dokubo, spoke about governance and infrastructure development in Rivers State, particularly praising projects benefiting the Kalabari people.

Dokubo highlighted recent road construction and rehabilitation efforts, noting that improved infrastructure has made movement easier for residents and boosted economic activities across Kalabari communities. He emphasized that such developments have long-term benefits for connectivity and regional growth.

According to Dokubo, “If there is anyone the Kalabari people should honour, like it or not, it is Siminalayi Fubara.” He made the statement while commending Governor Siminalayi Fubara for what he described as visible progress in road development and attention to the needs of the Kalabari people.
