Prophet Joshua Iginla, founder and Senior Prophet of Champions Royal Assembly, has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is expected to remain in power beyond the 2027 elections, despite ongoing public concerns over economic hardship and governance in Nigeria.

Speaking in a recent sermon video from 00:25 shared on YouTube, Iginla said his prophetic stance on Nigeria’s political future has remained consistent since before the 2023 general elections, when he claimed to have foreseen Tinubu’s rise to power at a time of widespread political uncertainty.

According to him, his earlier declarations were met with doubt from many observers, but he insisted that events later aligned with what he described as divine revelation.

The cleric acknowledged that his latest statement may generate controversy and strong criticism from the public.

“I know you will hate me. I know you know how to abuse me,” he said, while explaining what he described as a prophetic insight into the nation’s leadership direction.

Iginla maintained that, based on what he described as spiritual revelation, the current administration is unlikely to experience a sudden change in leadership in the near future. He added that the only factors he believes could alter the situation would be either death or divine intervention.

“The only thing that can take him out of power is either death or God,” he stated.

He, however, cautioned that his remarks should not be interpreted as political endorsement. According to him, prophetic declarations must be clearly distinguished from personal opinion or political alignment.

The prophet explained that many people misunderstand prophetic ministry by assuming that every statement reflects personal support for a leader or party, stressing instead that prophecy is based on what is perceived spiritually.

Iginla also acknowledged the prevailing economic difficulties in the country, noting that hardship and public frustration remain significant concerns among citizens.
