President Bola Tinubu travelled to the United States last year as part of a longer international journey, Special Adviser on Media and Policy Communications Daniel Bwala has said.
Bwala made the disclosure during an interview from 3:38 on Trust TV on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, while responding to questions about the President’s visits to America.
He explained that Tinubu’s trip involved an engagement connected to Turkey and that the President stopped in the United States before continuing his journey.
According to Bwala, the stopover followed the long distance of the trip, with Tinubu spending time at a hotel before travelling onward.
Providing details of the journey, Bwala said, “The president was in America last year. We had a program with Turkey. He was traveling and it was a long journey and he stopped over in America in hotel and traveled I think the next day or 2 days after that.”
