Edo State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Kassim Afegbua, has criticised what he described as the political approach associated with Peter Obi and his supporters.
Afegbua spoke during an interview from 6:59 on Channels Television on Monday, September 29, 2026, while discussing political activities, campaign provocations and the conduct of supporters ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He alleged that controversies could be deliberately created to attract public attention and mobilise members of the Obidient movement.
The commissioner made the claim while discussing alleged provocations involving supporters of different political parties, arguing that political actors should priorit is known for his peculiar politics. They will rather go and look for trouble so that they can whip up sentiments and get their Obidients support than even doing the proper thingise substantive engagement over actions capable of generating sympathy or increasing tensions.
