Phrank Shaibu, spokesperson for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has revealed how he supports Muslim relatives in his family to undertake pilgrimages to Mecca, despite coming from a family where Christians are fewer in number.

Speaking in an interview from 3:48 with Channels Television, Shaibu explained that his father is the only Christian among the nine children in his father’s family. He said he has helped his Muslim uncles and aunts travel to the holy land by contributing money and sponsoring their trips.

Shaibu described the support as a special privilege, saying he believes that helping his relatives fulfil the pilgrimage also carries a spiritual reward.

He said, “My name is Phrank Shaibu, I come from a family that the Muslim members of my family have numerical preponderance over the Christians. Of the 9 members of my father’s family, my father is the only Christian. So I have had the privilege of contributing, sponsoring or supporting my uncles and aunts to go to the holy land. It is rare privilege, because I believe that even contributing to them alone visiting the holy land there is a reward”
