Popular social media critic Daniel Regha has taken a swipe at the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, questioning his ability to unite Nigeria given the ongoing internal crises within his own party.
In a Facebook post shared on Thursday, Regha pointed out that Obi is campaigning on a promise to bring the country together, yet he has failed to manage the divisions and disagreements among Labour Party members. He also reminded the former Anambra State governor of his past political affiliations, noting that Obi had previously sworn never to leave certain political parties but ended up doing so.
The post has since sparked conversations online, gathering over 400 reactions and more than 170 comments, with users debating the former governor’s political history and his unity message ahead of future elections.
The post read: “Peter Obi is promising to unite Nigeria when he couldn’t even unite LP members or any of the political parties he swore not to ever leave. Laughable.”
