According to an interview from 17:17 Fox News featuring Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday, July 26, 2026, the Israeli leader expressed support for President Donald Trump’s approach towards Iran, arguing that Tehran’s regional activities demonstrate the dangers of allowing the country to develop nuclear weapons.

Netanyahu accused the Iranian regime of carrying out attacks against several countries in the region and warned that its actions without nuclear capability raise concerns about what could happen if it acquires such weapons.

“Murdering its thousands of its own citizens and shooting at everyone, I mean, literally at everyone, at Saudi Arabia, at Bahrain, at Qatar, at Kuwait, at the UAE, at Israel and Jordan, every single one,” Netanyahu said.

The Israeli Prime Minister argued that Iran’s current conduct should be viewed as a warning about the potential consequences of it becoming a nuclear-armed state.

“I mean, this is what this regime is doing when they don’t have nuclear weapons, so imagine what they would do if they had nuclear weapons,” he stated.

Netanyahu said the objective of President Trump’s policy was to pressure Iran’s leadership into abandoning its nuclear programme and changing its approach to regional affairs.

“I think when this regime is either toppled or it’s sufficiently weakened that it knows it has to end its nuclear program and change its course, that’s really what President Trump is trying to achieve,” he said.

He also expressed strong support for Trump’s efforts, adding, “And I back, fully, his efforts to do so.”
