Comfort Sunday, the daughter of a 58-year-old woman, late Titilayo Avoseh, who was brutalised and killed in front of her house during an interview with The Punch correspondent, has narrated how her mother was killed. She added that she worked as a hairstylist in Lekki.

Narrating the incident, she explained that it happened while she was at work and that she received a call around 9 p.m. informing her that her mother was lying flat on the floor and that no one could touch her. She said the caller did not know what to do and was asking about her whereabouts, and she instructed the person to try to help her mother, even if it meant taking her to the hospital, while she was already on her way.

She further stated that she left Lekki around 9 p.m. and headed to Ishashi in Ojo. She added that while she was still on the way, she called her sister and asked her to start coming home, explaining the situation to her. She said her sister arrived home before she did, while she was already very close to their street.

Further talking, she said, “Before I got home, my sister called me and said that my mother had already died. She said the people who killed her broke her head in front of our house. I quickly ran back. I cried and ran to a police station not far from where I was.”

She stated that when she got there, she met a large crowd, adding that people from their community were already there to report the same incident. She said that afterward, they went with the police to their house, where she found her mother’s body lying on the floor, and that she was already dead. Read_More…
