Professor Joash Amupitan, the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC was recently singled out for special knocks for his decisions which many believed were politically influenced.
The African Democratic Congress, ADC it can be recalled, had raised serious concerns over the decisions of the electoral umpire following the de-recognition of the party leadership led by Senator David Mark.
However, Chidi Odinkalu, respected human rights activist and former chairman of the national human rights commission in a recent statement which was shared on his official X handle, pointed out that the INEC chairman should be advised.
According to his statements, he pointed out that professor Joash Amupitan should be reminded that his position as INEC chairman hangs on less than a thread, and had become untenable.
