In a video from 3:49 posted on Symfoni TV, lawyer and National Democratic Congress (NDC) member, Okere Kingdom used his platform to fire back at Kenneth Okonkwo following remarks the latter had made on Arise Television against Peter Obi, delivering a pointed and colorful assessment of what he believed was driving Okonkwo’s recent change in political direction.

Okere framed his response as a direct reply to a fellow public figure he still regarded with some degree of familiarity, even as he pulled no punches. “Let me use this opportunity to respond to my brother Kenneth Okonkwo,” he said, before noting the specific incident that had prompted his reaction. “He was on Arise Television recently where he lashed out at our brother,” he stated, making clear that he viewed the attack on Obi as a personal and communal affront.

Okere then offered what he described as his diagnosis of what was really behind Okonkwo’s transformation, suggesting it had less to do with conviction and more to do with the intoxicating taste of public prominence. “I think Kenneth Okonkwo is still battling with the euphoria of launching himself into the political limelight as spokesperson of a major presidential contender,” he said.
