Arise News analyst Mahmud Jega offered his perspective on the political crisis in Rivers State.

His perspective reportedly stems from a conflict between Governor Siminalayi Fubara and the current Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike.

The state’s dynamics shifted when 27 lawmakers, known supporters of the former governor, defected from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In an interview with Arise News From 2:59, Mahmud Jega mentioned that FCT Minister Wike is moving towards the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He added that the 27 lawmakers who switched from the PDP to the APC did so after consulting with the former governor.

In Mahmud Jega’s words in a video (2:59), he said, “Mr. Wike is headed for the APC; those 27 members of the Rivers Assembly, who announced without thinking carefully about the implications that they had resigned from the PDP and we’re going to be the APC, must have done so in consultation with him.”….Seë_Morë
