The governor of Delta state, Sheriff Oborevwori has reacted after he was asked if the former governor of Anambra state, Peter Obi will be allowed to defeat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.
The reaction of the governor of Delta state was contained in a video that was posted on the official X handle of ARISE NEWS on Tuesday, June 2, 2026.
In the video that surfaced online, Sheriff Oborevwori stated that what happened in 2023 will not repeat itself again. He said he has told the Igbo communities who didn’t vote for the All Progressive Congress, APC in 2023 to do so in 2027. He said he has also convinced the Christian communities to support the APC. Sheriff Oborevwori said he has told the people of Delta to vote party and not individual.

“The Igbo communities in Delta that did not vote for the APC’s candidate in 2023 did not repeat that voting pattern during my election. We are on the same page.
