Primate Elijah Ayodele of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church has predicted that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar will soon receive an invitation to the United States, linking the development to shifting political alignments ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 general election.
According to report by LEADERSHIP on Wednesday April 8th 2026, Ayodele said Atiku will be invited to America and clarified the invitation had not yet occurred but insisted it would materialise in the near future.
The cleric warned that President Bola Tinubu faces a greater threat from within his own party than from opposition forces.
Ayodele singled out the northern bloc of the All Progressives Congress (APC), saying internal betrayal there could undermine Tinubu’s re-election bid.He said people that will kill Tinubu’s victory are APC from the North and added that the President might not immediately recognise the danger but would see signs of sabotage over time.
