According to a report by The Times Of Israel on May 13, 2026, during a visit to the West Bank today, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir said the Israeli military is fully prepared to resume fighting across all fronts if the situation requires it.

His comments were made during an operational assessment visit focused on the army’s readiness and ongoing security conditions in the region. He stressed that the Israel Defense Forces remain on high alert and are prepared for both defensive and offensive action if needed.

Zamir emphasised that military operations should not be considered complete, noting that the IDF continues to maintain a constant state of vigilance. He highlighted that readiness is being sustained across all areas of deployment, from the West Bank to more distant theatres. “The campaign is not over. The IDF is prepared to resume fighting if required and remains in constant readiness and alertness in defense and offense, from Judea and Samaria [West Bank] to Tehran,” he is cited as saying in a statement.
