According to a report by The Times Of Israel on May 14, 2026, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the Tel Aviv District Court that he is in excellent health while testifying in a libel lawsuit he filed against two journalists and political activist Gonen Ben Yitzhak. The case centers on claims made in 2024 alleging that Netanyahu was suffering from several severe illnesses.

During the hearing, Netanyahu rejected the allegations and insisted there was no truth to reports claiming he had pancreatic cancer. “My health situation is fine, some would say excellent,” Netanyahu tells the court, according to Hebrew media reports. He added that the accusation made by Ben Yitzhak was baseless, noting that he would not have survived if he had actually suffered from pancreatic cancer.

The prime minister also discussed medical procedures he underwent in recent years. Netanyahu said he had surgery for an enlarged prostate in December 2024. He further disclosed that he was later diagnosed with prostate cancer “towards the end of 2025,” providing additional details about his medical history that had not previously been made public.

Netanyahu explained that he underwent five rounds of radiation treatment in January and February 2026. According to him, the treatment successfully eliminated the cancer.
