The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has said that former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, needs his help to become the next governor of Oyo State.
According to a report by Nigerian Tribune on Monday, May 4, 2026, speaking during a church service, Ayodele told his congregation that Adelabu’s success in the 2027 governorship race depends on something he claims to have. He suggested that without receiving it, Adelabu may not win the election.
Ayodele described Adelabu as someone close to him but insisted that he is currently missing a key factor needed for victory. He claimed that this missing element is in his possession and urged Adelabu to come forward and take it. According to him, his message is based on what he believes is a divine instruction.
The cleric also stressed that he was confident in his claim and challenged anyone who doubts him, maintaining that he is speaking based on what he says God revealed to him.
Meanwhile, Adelabu has officially declared his intention to run for governor of Oyo State in 2027 under the All Progressives Congress (APC). He has already obtained the party’s Expression of Interest and Nomination forms.
Adelabu has promised to bring development to the state if elected, focusing on improving infrastructure and the overall welfare of the people.
Ayodele’s statement has since sparked reactions, with many people debating the role of spiritual influence in politics.
In his words, “Bayo Adelabu, you are my son, I love you, but you miss it. I’m just challenging you that what you need to become a governor is in my pocket.”…Read_More…
